(Please scroll down for my Make It Monday DT post!)

It's a new challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenge and this week the ever lovely Anita has chosen the theme of....

Pearls and Swirls!

OMG, this was mega hard for me - I don't do a lot of swirls and just a little bit of pearls!  Here is what I came with..

I have to admit - I don't like this at all!  But I was pretty pleased with NOT using any DPs!  It really didn't come together but I still love Chester Bubbles!  I will make something else with him that I is more suited to my style!  BUT I adore that sentiment!  It is from the versatile Sonny Says sentiment set (you can find it here)

The rest of the DT makes are gorgeous though!  You can see them all here!  This week we are being sponedred by Crafty Emma's Store with a £10 voucher - I wish I could qualifiy cos she has a lot of gorgossity!!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock
Mediums: Copics
Accents: ribbon from stash, Papermania flat backed pearls
Tools: EK success border punch, Bazzill flourish template, Nestabilitie label die inside card

Femme fatale!

Hiya!  It's Thursday which means I'm here with my week's make using some gorgeous Quixotic Inspiration goodies! This week I used the super sexy, super cool Victoria Case for SCACD Femme Fatale...

As you can see - lots of BLING!!  To create some interest, I used my Bazzill Jewel Templates to create the swirls with 4mm red flat backed pearls to create that beautiful swirl and used the Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiment for the insides.  And do you see that fabulous bow? I used my Bow Easy Template to make it before sticking it to the matting - easy peasy!  I also used a 6mm pearl for the centre of my red felt rose - the finishing touch!

And before I go, don't forget to check out the....

{make a wish}

Happy Sunday all - I hope you are all having a good weekend!  My card today uses  I made her for the Pollycraft Monday challenge for "swirls and pearls"...

I used Cherry Kisses Fairy Socks - I think she is just the sweetest!  (I think I say that for all my stamps and digis, lol!!)  I wanted to create my own background paper and used my Gel-A-Tins called Spiral Symphony - this set is soooo old but it's the one I always turn to when I need a flourish!  I used my Viva Decor Gloss Pen and Viva Decor Pearl Pen in pale blue.  I used my Bazzill Basics Jewel template in Mystical Flourish to line up the pearls.  Simple!

I am also entering this card into Flutterby Wednesday for anything goes and One Stop Craft challenge for fairies and angels (thx for telling me about them, Alison!).

See you all again real soon!

Blog hop to celebrate the SCACD new release!

Hello everyone!  Today we are celebrating the March stamp release from Susana's Custom Art And Card Design!

The Quixotic Paperie design team (that includes me!) and special guest Jane Johnson have the honour to join up with the SCACD design team for this blog hop to celebrate the release of some fantastic new stamps from artist Victoria Case.   This time Victoria has illustrated some stunning ladies - The Bonitas and some super fun Retro Girls!

You should have hopped to me from Dianne Prewitt, but if not then the first blog on the hop you need to go to is Crafts By Kim.

For my make I have used Victoria Bonita by Victoria Case - isn't she beautiful?  As soon as I saw her I wanted to do something really elegant with her - and a French style seemed a perfect fit!

I am definitely going to try her out with a Spanish style, Mexican style and an English rose style!  I teamed her up with my oh so luscious BasicGrey Curio paper pad, used Shimmerz Paints in Evergreen and Coffee (which are 25% off at the moment!) to distress the edges and give it a shimmer (obviously!) and used my Bazzill Basic Jewel Template in Mystical Flourish with 4mm cream flat backed pearls.

For those of you in the UK and EU you can get this and the other lovely Victoria Case stamps from Quixotic Paperie. For those of you in Canada and USA check out Susana's Custom Art And Card Design!

You now need to hop off to the lovely Lori Aragon!  Enjoy the hop!

I am submitting my card into Crazy 4 Challenges to use flowers and the Sweet Stampin challenge for oh so girly!

Good time girl!

Yay, happy Thursday everyone - just one more day to go until the weekend! My card for Quixotic Paperie today is for a good time girl!  Perhaps me when I was [much, much] younger, but definitely suitable for my funkier, younger friends!  I wanted to do a little paper piecing and I thought the hat in Kenny K's All That for the Whimsey Stamps collection would be perfect for it.  I used my Viva Decor transparent gloss pen for the button on her hat (look closer, lol!) and the houndstooth paper from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue & Wonderfull paper pack.

And, yes, I do wish my waistline was that small!  Anyway, less about me!  Now, do you have a ton of brads in your stash which you never use anymore?!  Yeah, I can see all those hands up in the air!  In an effort to use mine up, I used my Bazzill Mystical Flourish Jewel Template to pierce the holes and create those funky swirls with those lickle ickle silver brads - uber cool, don't you think?!

I finished off the card with my Whimsey ticket sentiment stamp and Shapeology ticket die.  And isn't that butterfly cute?!  It's from the other Whimsey friendship ticket stamp set - these are so versatile I just had to get the lot!  And I'm saving up for the February Whimsey Stamps release - more stamps and new Shapeology dies!  Click on the piccie below that will take you straight to the section!

Other new items in the store are the My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose collection (FOUR designs in 6x6 pads), Prima 6x6 pads and the SCACD Stamps new release. All luscious stock!  Right, where's my credit card...
